Patch cords
are such a common component in data center set-ups that the 
significance of their role in data transmission can tend to be overlooked. Not just any patch cord can handle heavy data transmission, and trying to get by with lower quality or lesser capability is a gamble data centers cannot afford. 

Fiber cables from some manufacturers are starting to utilize sub-standard fiber cores, because changes in the way fiber is produced make the fiber cheaper. 

There is always a trade-off however, and this is in the quality of the fiber which ultimately effects performance.

DINTEK's PowerMAX-XLR8TM Category 8 solutions are designed to support Ethernet at rates up to 40 Gbps (40GBASE-T) for the shorter distances up to 30 meters, which is a solution primarily for data centers. The Copper cabling solution is less costly for installation for the power usage and electronics costs. As Cat 8 becomes widely used, it's expected that switch and server connections supporting it will be much less expensive than those used with fiber optics. Besides, the 25/40GBASE-T standards support autonegotiation, which provides convenience for data center users.

Category 8 Plug 

The DINTEK PowerMAX-XLR8TM Category 8 Screened Field Termination RJ45 Plug offers easy, toolless termination and complies fully with ISO/IEC 11801, & ANSI/TIA-568-2-D, Category 8 standards. It offers a fully shielded die-cast zinc alloy, nickel plated body and gold-plated phosphor bronze contact pins.
• IDC termination accepts wire gauges from 22 to 24AWG.

Category 8 Plug 

The DINTEK PowerMAX-XLR8TM Category 8 cabling infrastructure has been designed to support short-distance (between 5 and 30 meters) runs of 25GBase-T or 40GBase-T transmission. A choice of compatible Patch Panel frames with 24 port density in both black and chrome are available. 

The socket itself is housed in a high quality zinc die cast housing, which opens at the rear in a butterfly manner to reveal the IDC termination points. Once the pairs are arranged in the cable management cap and
trimmed it is a simple case of closing the 'butterfly' together to complete the termination.


Category 8 Cable 

DINTEK's PowerMAX-XLR8TM Category 8 Screened S/FTP LSZH Cable is designed and manufactured to meet and exceed the ISO, CENELEC and TIA standards. The performance characteristics have been enhanced to 2000 MHz for specialist applications. Each cable consists of 4 pairs individually wrapped in a covering of high quality, strong, aluminium/polyester foil tape providing an individual screen for each pair. These sub units are then cabled together, with the pairs set to different lay lengths to ensure optimum performance, an overall braid screen is applied to provide further immunity to outside noise and to mitigate any risk of alien cross talk.


Enhanced Cable Management

Designed for enhanced cable management, DINTEK angled patch panels are angled in order to route patch cords directly into vertical cable managers on either side of the panel.

This enables faster installation and eliminates the need for horizontal cable management. Simply route your cables cleanly into vertical managers and keep your cabling neat and tidy. Besides, the 25/40GBASE-T standards support auto negotiation, which provides convenience for data center users.
