There is much more to cabling system performance than buying good quality cable and connecting hardware. In order to ensure that your system performs to it’s full potential, a structured cabling system needs to be properly designed, installed, and administered.
Audience
The primary audience for this course will be a Data Cabling Installer, Sales Professional working in the area of data cabling, or Network Engineer wanting to learn more about the specifics of LAN Cabling and it’s installation.
Prerequisites
While there are no set prerequisites, the participant should have had at least some installation experience and be familiar with the basic terminology surrounding network cabling.
As these courses are presented in English, a good understanding of this language is important.
Expected Outcomes
The DTI Training course is designed to prepare an installer for implementing networks that conform to the cabling standards and thus qualify for the DINTEK 25yr warranty. It provides an overall knowledge of the basics required.
The qualifying participant will finish the course with a good understanding about the basics of twisted pair cabling and fiber optics, the cabling standards and it’s installation requirements. They will also gain an understanding of testing requirements, parameters, their importance and how to troubleshoot.
