The DINTEK Trained Installer Course for structured cabling and fiber optics provides a theory and practical skills 1 day course on installation of structured cabling systems and fiber optics.

Audience

The primary audience for this course will be a Data Cabling Installer, Sales Professional working in the area of data cabling, or Network Engineer wanting to learn more about the specifics of LAN Cabling and it’s installation.

Prerequisites

While there are no set prerequisites, the participant should have had at least some installation experience and be familiar with the basic terminology surrounding network cabling. As these courses are presented in English, a good understanding of this language is important.

Expected Outcomes

The DTI Installer Course is designed to prepare an installer for implementing networks that conform to cabling standards. It provides an overall knowledge of what is required for standards approved Installation. The qualifying participant will finish the course with a good understanding of twisted pair cabling and fiber optics, the cabling standards and its installation requirements. They will also gain an understanding of testing requirements, parameters, their importance and how to troubleshoot.
